Basic TVs are pretty much glorified monitors. Since there is no longer a need for channel selection for OTA? channels, there must be a smart TV adapter. This could be Apple TV, or a Roku Box. The basic TV can be of any size from 32″+. There is a requirement of at least 1 HDMI port to connect the smart TV adapter. That adapter must be able to support RJ45 for a stable viewing experience. Since all addresses must have affordable internet service, this is required to watch TV. The benefit of the basic TV is you choose your smart TV OS?, and if you find a better one, you aren’t stuck with the old one. You simply replace the adapter, and as long as the screen is in good shape, that will be what would matter.
